“My world was turned upside down mid August 2018 when I suffered a seizure early in the morning. My Husband Jason called an ambulance, where I was rushed to hospital. An MRI highlighted a stage 2 glioma on the right frontal lobe of my brain. I felt so numb and didn't know what to do or how to react. In mid-September, my dreaded operation day finally came. We drove to Perth early that day, and my family waited with me until the nurses needed to do the final prep and wheel me d...own to the operative theatre. Afterwards, I was told that the surgery went well. I spent the next three nights in hospital and two nights in a nearby care facility before heading home to Bunbury. I was so happy to finally come home and be around everyone and everything I love, including my two dogs! Following my diagnosis, I said to my family, friends, and even myself, that I'm not going to let this beat me. I will beat it, and I won't let anything stop me from doing what I enjoy every day and that's being with my family and friends."
