My name is Joel Costello, a Bondi local who grew up on the South Coast south of Wollongong, and 8 years ago I was out running with a client (I am a Personal Trainer) when I got a severe and sudden onset of dizziness and couldn't stand up. I... had to immediately end our session. This was a sign that something was not right.

Cue the months of pouring thousands of dollars into trying to "work out" what it was by visiting doctors, naturopaths, chiros and psychologists.

It wasn't until I visited a dizziness doctor in North Sydney, who tested my inner ears and eyes and everything was 'fine', yet he did order an MRI "just in case". So off I went to get the MRI.

2 days later my phone was ringing like crazy. They had found "something". When I asked if it was serious, I was told "it shouldn't be there" So then started all the tests - PET scans, spinal taps, more MRIs, yet no one knew what it was. All I was told by one neurologist was that it looked "nasty"

I kept a positive outlook and I wouldn't give in to the fact that it was anything serious. Becoming frustrated with not knowing what it was I reached out to Charlie for a second opinion.

Immediately I felt like I was being looked after. The "lesion", as we knew it at the time, was in a very precarious position in my brain, so biopsy at the time wasn't an option. The plan was to do annual follow up MRIs to monitor it.

In February 2020 it grew, and it was confirmed that it was a tumour. I reconnected with Charlie and we decided to operate. I trusted him as i know how skilful this man is.

On March 11th I was lucky enough to have Charlie operate on me, to remove the tumour that was in an extremely tricky position in my cerebellum.

He has saved my life and has given me a second chance. I now consider everything moving forward as Joel 2.0!!!!!

나는 긍정적 인 견해를 지켰고 그것이 심각한 일이라는 사실에 굴복하지 않을 것입니다. 그게 뭔지 몰라 답답해 찰리에게 2 차 의견을 구했습니다.



즉시 나는 내가 돌보는 것처럼 느꼈다. 우리가 알고 있던 "병변"은 내 뇌에서 매우 불안정한 위치에 있었기 때문에 당시 생검은 선택 사항이 아니 었습니다. 계획은이를 모니터링하기 위해 매년 후속 MRI를 수행하는 것이 었습니다.

2020 년 2 월에 성장하여 종양임을 확인했습니다. 나는 찰리와 다시 연결되었고 우리는 운영하기로 결정했습니다. 나는이 남자가 얼마나 능숙한 지 알기 때문에 그를 믿었다.

3 월 11 일에 찰리가 수술을 받아 소뇌에서 매우 까다로운 위치에있는 종양을 제거 할 수있었습니다.

그는 내 생명을 구했고 내게 두 번째 기회를 주셨습니다. 이제 모든 것이 Joel 2.0으로 진행되는 것을 고려합니다 !!!!!
